Hi! I am Vidya. I understand that healing is neither linear nor easy. I have seen the best results for my clients when we are able to process feelings in a non judgmental, safe space. Working with an individual is always working with many layers of the client such as intergenerational dynamics, cultural diaspora, family systems, and cultural identities.

As a therapist, my goal is to help my clients be seen, heard, validated, and held accountable. My focus is to provide healing to children and families experiencing difficult relationship dynamics and traumatic events. I show up for my clients consistently, providing a safe space to heal and grow. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, young adults, and women who are experiencing depression, ADHD, anxiety, life transitions and grief.

I obtained my Bachelor’s in Psychology and later on a second Bachelor’s in Social Work. I completed my Master’s in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. I am a registered clinical social worker intern working towards independent licensure. My goal is to continue my learning by pursuing a doctoral program in social work.

I have training in multiple therapeutic modalities such as Trauma-Focused CBT, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and many other Narrative and Relational therapeutic approaches.

My family therapy experience includes working with adoptive families, narcissistic relationships, families going through transitions such as divorce, new relationships and complex trauma.

I bring my multicultural lens to my practice and believe in working with family and cultural framework. My role as a therapist is to help you identify your resources, break cycles and empower your cultural identity.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and a very fluffy dog - Bunny. I am involved in many mental health groups that promote mental health among minority communities. I am an avid advocate for promoting mental health awareness in South Asian communities. We all become stories and you have the power to write your story. I consider it an honor to work as your therapist and be part of your journey.
